As the brand has been growing, Nominal London have been granted some amazing opportunities and met some awesome & interesting friends along the way. One such friend is Dory Salas.
Dory is a MA Art Direction & Styling student at the Marangoni Institute London. She reached out to us with the intention of using Nominal London as a case study within a university assignment. The assignment required her to create some photo & video content for a seasonal campaign. Dory chose to create a look-book, editorial & a fashion film for our Nominal Drop 2 - Spring Introduction to ‘The Nominal School of Defiance’.
Upon meeting Dory she explained the concept that she would like to use for this project. Seeking inspiration from ‘CLIMAX’ A Film by Gaspar Noé, Dory found great visual inspiration from this movie that she felt complimented our brand. When she presented it in her mood-board we were instantly intrigued & told her she has our full support. Dory scouted the models, venue, photographer & videographer. NOM!NAL provided the looks and worked with Dory on the styling for the shoot.
What we really loved about this project was that it seemed like Dory really understood the style and aesthetic of Nominal London. The dark aesthetic and the playful yet dark moods very much aligned with some of Nominal London’s original inspirations. The casting direction was expertly crafted.
We would like to extend a special shout out to the selection of amazing models and the Cameraman - Visarud Rattanachaikanont & Photographers - Tash Alice & Yasha Swini created beautifully professional imagery and campaign rhetoric.
