Enter Velvet Underground, a collection that rewrites the rules to celebrate the unfiltered, unapologetic self. Inspired by the fearless countercultures of the 1970s—Soulboys, Hippies, and Glam Rockers—this collection channels a time when fashion was a playground of self-expression, rebellion, and freedom. Think bell-bottoms that swayed to the disco beats, bohemian dresses that flowed with every step, and glittering glam-rock looks that screamed individuality.

Fast-forward to today, and Nominal London reimagines these iconic silhouettes with a modern edge. Picture sumptuous velvets in rich jewel tones—ruby reds, sapphire blues, and emerald greens—crafted to drape elegantly and make a bold statement whilst feeling like a second skin. In true Nominal Fashion we’ve paired our Velvets with Leather, a signature of the brand that takes center stage as we add a touch of glamour and edge with luxurious shearling and wool
fur as we take you on a texture trip from 2025 to 1975.

After a successful introduction last year in our AW24 collection, we have chosen to
develop our womenswear garments in collaboration with our guest designer Clodoaldo Lopes, pattern maker & guest lecturer at Grafton Academy of Fashion Design and MA Graduate from Istituto Marangoni London.
